- Bodbe Monastery (9th Century) Originally built in the 9th century, this monastery is one of Georgia's major pilgrimage sites. It holds the tomb of St. Nino, the 4th-century female evangelist of Georgia. The complex features beautifully manicured gardens and the impressive St. George Cathedral, which houses rare medieval frescoes.
